Clients of Casa Israel Adult Medical Day Care Center received a special treat Tuesday: a barbeque under the tent at The North Ward Center.
Casa Israel, which was founded by The North Ward Center in 2001, typically holds a birthday bash monthly for clients who are celebrating their birthdays that month. But in June, the celebration is held under the tent, said Bruce London, the director of Casa Israel.
"This is just one of many special activities we have four our clients," said Adrianne Davis, the executive director of The North Ward Center. "Just about every day, we do something to engage our clients."
Casa Israel offers clients exercise, Spanish Class, shopping, bing, a monthly crowning of the King and Queen, holiday celebrations and trips to local shopping centers.
